Sustainability
We cannot do this alone.
The transformative work of the P.O.W.E.R. Women’s Cardiovascular Health Program requires collective effort and sustained investment. To truly change the landscape of women’s cardiovascular health, we need the support of our community—patients, partners, and philanthropists who believe in a future where women receive the care they deserve.
Under the guidance of the Advisory Board, we are building the foundation to ensure that our work continues—not just today, but for generations to come. Our goal is to grow the capacity and infrastructure needed to sustain the high-impact, high-intensity research, clinical care, and innovation that define our centre.
With your support, we can continue advancing science, training future leaders, and delivering equitable, life-saving care to women across Canada and beyond.
Heritage MD 2025 Golf Tournament
The Heritage MD Annual Charity Golf Tournament, in collaboration with the McGill University Health Foundation, brought together a community dedicated to advancing women’s health.
Through the generosity of golfers, sponsors, and supporters, funds were raised in support of the P.O.W.E.R. Women’s Cardiovascular Health Program helping advance early detection, prevention, and research-driven approaches to improve women’s cardiovascular health and well-being.

Two generations from three inspiring families—Aliya Rota, CPA, MPAcc & Tina Naqvi-Rota (Cameron Development Corporation), Jim & David Hewitt (Hewitt Group), and Pierre Somers & Isabelle Somers (Walter Group)—shared meaningful insights on leadership, family legacy, and aligning values across generations.
Led by Sam Reda, CFA and Meriem Mehdaoui, CFA, the evening highlighted the importance of supporting women’s heart health and honoured Judy Luu, MD/PhD, for her transformative work advancing cardiovascular care for women through the P.O.W.E.R. Women’s Cardiovascular Health Program.
We are deeply grateful to every guest and supporter whose generosity helped turn conversation into action. Together, we are creating lasting impact for generations to come.
